We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Manager X-ray Inspection Services based in Leuven, Belgium.

What is your role?

The Sales Manager X-ray Inspection Services will be responsible to win profitable contract inspection business across Continental Europe by identifying, engaging and converting customers who need outsourced X‑ray/CT inspection—spanning feasibility scans to recurring production programs. He/she will grow services revenue and margin while creating pull‑through for future system sales by turning satisfied services customers into advocates and references.

What are your key areas of responsibility?

  • Responsible for business development and direct sales of X‑ray/CT contract inspection services in the assigned region; orchestrate partners where relevant.
  • Develop annual services sales plan and account strategy; maintain accurate pipeline and forecast in CRM.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Product Management to deliver targeted campaigns (events, webinars, application notes) that generate qualified inspection opportunities.
  • Qualify opportunities and own proposals, pricing and T&Cs (NDAs/MSAs, data handling, export controls).
  • Coordinate with the labs: sample logistics, scan strategy, reconstruction, reporting/deliverables, secure data transfer, and acceptance reviews.
  • Convert one‑off feasibility jobs into recurring programs and frame agreements; identify cross‑sell to upgrades/software and hand over capital opportunities to systems sales.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and communicate win/loss insights; align with Application Engineering (Manager) on feasibility and prioritization.
  • Prepare, create and follow up quotations and ensure timely PO receipt and invoicing.

What are your ancillary responsibilities?

  • Provide practical “hands‑on” and direct customer contact; host data reviews and acceptance meetings
  • Ability to travel, nationally or internationally, as required or needed.
  • Attend trade shows, open houses and customer events to promote services and generate leads.
  • Complete weekly, monthly and annual written reports as directed by management.

What are your required qualifications and competencies?

ESSENTIAL

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering/Physics/Materials or equivalent technical sales experience.
  • 5+ years in B2B technical sales/business development, ideally in NDT/X‑ray/CT services, metrology, or advanced inspection.
  • Consultative selling skills with comfort discussing materials, defects, GD&T, porosity, AM, batteries, electronics, or medical devices
  • Strong proposal and negotiation skills for service engagements (SLAs, data ownership, confidentiality, GDPR/export awareness).
  • Fluency in English plus at least one of French, German, or Dutch; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft 365 and CRM (Dynamics/Salesforce)

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in structuring multi‑site service tenders and framework agreements.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/17025 environments and secure data workflows for sensitive projects.
  • Network in one or more priority verticals (auto/e‑mobility, aerospace/defense, AM, med‑dev).
