Halogen Illuminator
High Intensity 12V-50W Halogen Light Source: LV-LH50PC Precentred Lamphouse
Although the LV-LH50PC precentred lamphouse is rated at 12V-50W, the brightness is equivalent to or higher than that of a 12V-100W source. The low power consumption of the halogen light source contributes to the compact design of the microscope, while also being friendly to the environment. Defocusing induced by heat is substantially reduced.
Fiber Illumination
HG Precentered Fiber Illuminator—Intensilight (for LV-UEPI2/LV-UEPI2A)
The use of the Intensilight precentred HG fibre illuminator eliminates the need for centring and focus adjustment of the lamp, even after the light source is replaced. As the light source can be placed away from the microscope, the system is less affected by heat and electrical noise interference. Six levels of light intensity from 3% to 100% are available and a shutter is incorporated as standard. The lamp lasts an average of 2000 hours, minimising replacement time and operational costs. The motorised model is recommended for use in combination with the LV150NA and LV100NDA. The Intensilight can be controlled from an optional dedicated remote controller or a PC that incorporates Nikon’s NIS-Elements imaging software. The Intensilight is also suitable for use on ECLIPSE L300N and L200N(ND) series microscopes.

D-LEDI Fluorescence LED Illumination System
D-LEDI is a light source dedicated to fluorescence contrast observation with Nikon upright industrial manual microscopes. The light source is equipped with high power LEDs with four wavelength ranges at 385nm, 488nm, 550nm, and 621nm. Intuitive operation directly or by PC control is via an ergonomically designed control pad or remote control operation using NIS-Elements software. D-LEDI has an excellent performance to cost ratio, having a long operational life without requiring consumable lamps. Provided that system vibration is low, the light source is perfectly suited to observation at the highest magnifications. The unit is optimised for use with ECLIPSE LV150N and LV100ND microscopes.

Universal Illuminator
LV-UEPI-N
Universal Epi-Illuminator: LV-UEPI-N
The LV-UEPI-N universal epi-illuminator enables brightfield, darkfield, simple polarising and DIC observation. Field and aperture diaphragms are automatically opened when the observation is switched from brightfield to darkfield, returning to their original positions when switched back again.

LV-UEPI2
Universal Epi-Illuminator 2: LV-UEPI2
The LV-UEPI2 universal episcopic illuminator is equipped with advanced optics suitable for a wide variety of observation methods—brightfield, darkfield, DIC and epi-fluorescence. It allows the operator to concentrate on the observation by automatically maintaining optimal illumination conditions for the aperture diaphragm, shutter and filters, including diffuser and ND filter.

- Observation with first-order red compensator
- DIC
- Epi-fluorescence (UV excitation possible)
- UV polarising epi-fluorescence
- Double-beam interferometry
LV-UEPI2A
Motorised Universal Epi-Illuminator 2: LV-UEPI2A
In the LV-UEPI2A, the illumination changeover turret and the aperture diaphragm as well as the illumination voltage control have been motorised for accurate reproduction of lighting conditions, so images can be taken under consistent illumination. Aperture is automatically optimised according to the objective and illumination technique in use. It can, however, also be changed manually depending on the sample and purpose.
When configured with the LV-ECON E controller, this illuminator can be adjusted by the controller or from a connected PC.

LED Illuminator
LV-EPILED White LED Illuminator
With emphasis on light weight and compact design, this white LED illuminator was specially developed for brightfield use. It is operated via the attached power source controller. Using the LV-ECON E, external control is also possible.
All the above illuminators are designed for the LV series.
