Nikon introduces three new ECLIPSE microscope models, expanding its industrial microscopy capabilities with advanced optical technology and improved operational efficiency.
Nikon Corporation (Nikon) has launched three new ECLIPSE microscope models, the LV100NDA LED, LV100ND LED, and LV100N POL LED, to strengthen the company’s comprehensive range of industrial microscopy solutions. These new microscopes have adopted a high colour-rendering LED light source that achieves more natural observation.
The ECLIPSE LV100NDA LED and LV100ND LED are flexible, modular upright microscopes designed for episcopic and diascopic optical contrast techniques.
The ECLIPSE LV100N POL LED is specifically designed for polarising microscopy, featuring episcopic and diascopic illumination for mineralogical and rock study, as well as metal material analysis.
Key features of the new models include:
- Improved maintenance: The newly developed high colour-rendering LED light source upgrades brightness, colour, and colour rendering properties compared to the existing halogen source, extending lamp life from 1,100 to 50,000 hours. Space efficiency is improved by incorporating the LED light source into the microscope stand (LV100NDA LED and LV100ND LED), reducing footprints by up to approximately 100 mm, depending on the model.
- Enhanced usability: The system offers high scalability through the compatibility of accessories between old and new products while providing extensive expandability with a wide range of accessories.
The new models complement Nikon’s established ECLIPSE microscope range, allowing customers to achieve more efficient and reliable inspection processes while maintaining the precision expected from Nikon products.
