Thank you all for joining the third session of the Laser Radar Webinar Series with a focus on APDIS shop floor quality control: a paradigm shift in absolute shop floor inspection. Watch the recording here below:

Traditional inline and near-line metrology is an absolute logical process and makes the data recurrent, timelier and available without the need to remove a part from the process. However, there are also several difficulties that become apparent: Where to measure within the process? What to measure? How to make the data ‘accurate’ without a comparison to the CMM?

With the APDIS Laser Radar installations on the shop floor all and more of the above-mentioned questions are obsolete. Absolute measurement can be performed on the shop without a comparison to a reference system needed. Adding or changing features can be done offline with minimal training, minimal civils required and cheaper lifetime costs producing absolute data that one can trust.
