SPIE Photonics West 2023

With four key applications topics, BiOS, LASE, OPTO, and Quantum West SPIE Photonics West generates an audience of over 20,000. SPIE Photonics West gathers business leaders, researchers, and pioneers propelling the latest technologies using optics and photonics.

The light-based fields of physics include optics, imagine engineering, and photonics. Researchers, industrial technicians, and representatives of governments around the world flock to SPIE’s Photonic West to share knowledge and see the optical equipment that is helping lead this vital industry into the future.

The team at Nikon Metrology will appear at Photonics West 2023 to show off the following two cutting-edge microscopy systems, both of which amply demonstrate why Nikon is the world’s leader in optics technology:

Stereo Microscopes. Nikon’s deep line-up of stereo microscopes are second to none. With impressive magnification zoom ratios of as high as 25:1, Photonics West attendees who are working in diverse fields such as biophotonics, industrial lasers, optoelectronics, microfabrication, and MOEMS-MEMS will be able to clearly identify the tiniest of inspected parts and features. Superior image quality throughout the line is a particular hallmark of Nikon’s stereo microscope line.

Lasertec Confocal Microscope. For those who want to work with the most advanced optical and photonics equipment, Nikon offers this confocal laser-scanning microscope.  This system includes a total of six advanced imaging functions in a single body:

  • White light confocal
  • Laser confocal
  • Vertically scanned white light interferometer
  • Phase shift interferometer
  • Spectroscopic reflectometry film thickness measurement
  • Differential interference contrast observation

The result is a confocal microscope that offers researchers and technicians the unique opportunity to measure everything from simple parameters to surface roughness to geometric properties.
