The wide-scale adoption of automation has changed manufacturing in recent decades, and most certainly for the better. Measurement and inspection solution providers, of which Nikon Metrology is an unquestioned leader, have reduced the reliance on manual measurement not only in their systems, but through the use of automated robotics and positioners that are now integrated with these tools. The result has allowed manufacturers like the ones at Automate to measure faster and more accurately than ever before.

Nikon will be featuring the following technologies at this year’s Automate:

  • Laser Radar. The APDIS Laser Radar offers everything a manufacturer could seek from an automated metrology solution—high speed, great accuracy, and ease of setup, to name just a few. The APDIS Laser Radar is lightweight and flexible enough to integrate with robotic arms and positioners to automate measurement routines in a variety of fast-paced and large-volume environments.
  • Vision Systems. The NEXIV and iNEXIV video measurement systems offer nonstop automatic measurement, with great accuracy even with variations in the positioning of component.
