We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Advisor based in Leuven – Belgium.
Your role
There is no shortage of challenges within HR at the moment, think for instance of the labour market problems, the need to keep employees up to date with training and the increasing demands on all employees within an organization. Issues where you can bring significant added value from HR.
As a member of the HR team for Continental Europe (Belgium, Germany & France), you will work together with other HR advisors in all areas within HR. The main issues our team focuses on in Europe are compensation & benefits, payrolling, flex income plan, reporting, annual salary review and evaluation cycle, benchmarking, social regulations, recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, absenteeism and reintegration, training and development, writing and improving policies and procedures, ….
You are also the main person responsible for our green company car fleet (consisting of some 90 company cars) in the 3 countries involved.
The HR team is managed by the HR Director Europe who, in consultation with the organization, determines the HR priorities together with you. You then tackle these together with your colleagues within the HR team and are the liaison to the management and the rest of the organization. As HR adviser, you are responsible for the various issues and advise (solicited and unsolicited), inform, coach and support the supervisors (team leaders and managers) and employees in achieving an enjoyable and pleasant cooperation between supervisors and employees.
Together with the HR team, you contribute at tactical and operational level to organizational development and change processes/projects and make the strategy work in practice. In addition, you actively participate in HR-related projects taken up at various levels in the organization and you support managers in applying organizational policy, laws and regulations in the field of HR.

Besides a solid personality, you have great self-starting ability and know when to ask for help if needed. Furthermore, you recognise yourself in the following:
- proven experience in a generalist HR role and/or C&B role
- thorough knowledge of C&B
- Dutch as mother tongue and a good knowledge of English and French
- good knowledge of Microsoft office and certainly Excel
- flexible and solution-oriented thinking
- a solid and customer-oriented discussion partner for management
- communicates smoothly both in writing and orally with all layers within the organisation
- proactive and working from “customer” demand
- Dutch as mother tongue and a good knowledge of English and French
- decisiveness and a healthy dose of humour
