The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS 2022) is one of the few trade shows anywhere that rivals the longevity of Nikon itself; the event that would grow into today’s IMTS was founded in Cleveland, OH, in 1927, while the corporation that is today know as Nikon was founded in Tokyo in 1917.
IMTS is normally a bi-annual show, however, due to Covid restrictions the event had to be cancelled in 2020. Now it is back for IMTS 2022 and attendee demand for the latest and greatest solutions in measurement, inspection, and quality has never been greater! More than 100,000 people are expected to walk the four halls of the show to soak up information and learn about manufacturing excellence.
IMTS presents a wide range of solutions, but of key interest to the Nikon audience is the Quality Pavilion found in the East Building of the current home venue, Chicago’s McCormick Place. That’s where you’ll find the Nikon booth to learn more.
This show is produced by the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT), which is a trade association promoting the equipment, tools, and machinery of advanced manufacturing. The AMT, most notably through IMTS itself, supports a holistic vision of manufacturing visualizing the connected factory as system in which quality and efficiency flourishes. All the discrete parts of that system, from hardware to software, production to inspection, and data acquisition to predictive maintenance, are well-represented at IMTS.
